Commissioning Artwork
If you have a particular idea you are interested in for a painting or
see a piece that you love but it is the wrong size I am very happy to
discuss commissioning a piece.
The steps
1 - We discuss the subject matter, medium (pencil, colored pencil or
oil paint) size, price and framing. If necessary you can provide me
with some photograghs. We can also discuss a time-line.
2 - once we have settled on this I can do a sketch of the idea and composition
that I think will work and email you a copy of the sketch.
3 - If this meets your approval I then ask for a 25% deposit.
4 - I will then commence the final artwork and send an email image once
it is completed.
I often skip steps 2 and 3 if the commission more general, such as
"next time you do a leopard please let me have first look"
5 - On your approval final and full payment is made and I ship that
painting to you.
Commission examples
A collector saw and fell in love with "Testing the Waters"
but the painting was too large for her home so asked if I would mind
doing a smaller image and came up with "Breaking the Calm"
It was a real pleasure to do a portrait of this character "Skynard"
from photo's provided to me.
