2018 - Pristine Kenya

August 28 to September 6. The 2018 safari departs from Nairobi, Kenya.

Photographic safaris to Africa, led by Lindsay Scott and Brian McPhun

First stop, Little Governor’s Camp in the Masai Mara game reserve.

The Masai Mara is a place of natural drama; a kaleidoscope of colour and life as elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo roam the reserve, together with hundreds of other species, from the cheetah to crocodiles and magnificent birds of prey.

It's home to the greatest show on earth in August and September as the annual migration of over a million wildebeest and 200,000 zebras pass through in search of greener pastures, closely followed by their predators.

Next, we move to Naboisho Conservancy, which adjoins the Mara. Our time there is spent exploring in vehicles and on foot as well as a visit to a local Maasai village.

Our last location is a plane ride away to the Northern Central area of Kenya and the exclusive Lewa Conservancy. Located in the foothills of Mount Kenya, it has been described as a private paradise.

Lewa is home to over 10 percent of Kenya’s black rhino population, over 14 percent of Kenya’s white rhino population and the world’s largest single population of Grevy’s zebra.
