August 23 to September 6. The 2016 safari touches down in Johannesburg... then the adventure begins.
We fly to Botswana and spend 3 days in the lush Okavango Delta at Little Vumbura Camp.
In this area, woodland-loving antelope like sable and kudu roam side by side with water-loving red lechwe and reedbuck.
The diversity of prey species results in a wide variety of predators, from lion and spotted hyena, to leopard, and occasionally cheetah and wild dog.
Next, we travel to Duma Tau camp for 3 days in the Linyanti region. Overlooking the broad Linyanti River, DumaTau means ‘roar of the lion’, but it is the large herds of elephant for which the area is best known.
That's not all we'll see; red lechwe, zebra, giraffe, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and spotted hyena can all be found in the area.
Next, its's on to Ongava Lodge in Etosha, Namibia. Our accommodation is just a stone's throw away from the Etosha National Park, home to one of the largest populations of black and white rhino in Namibia, thanks to a successful reintroduction program.
Black-faced impala are prolific along with other wildlife, meaning lions and other predators are never far away.
Those opting for our safari extension are in for a luxury desert experience at Little Kulala in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve.
The camp blends seamlessly into the desert landscape and sand dune and nature drives, guided walks and sundowner excursions to one of the best scenic areas in the Namib make for an unforgettable time.
